A major study titled Expanded geographic distribution and dietary strategies of the earliest Oldowan hominins and Paranthropus was published on the journal Science with the participation of the Sino-British College, USST.

The University of Shanghai for Science and Technology – Sino British College (SBC) is immensely proud to announce that Dr. Nicoleen Amoy Johnson, a distinguished lecturer in Business and Management at SBC, has been selected as a 2026 Award Designate for the Governor-General’s Achievement Award (Diaspora), Award of Excellence — one of Jamaica’s highest national honours for members of its global diaspora.

Recently, Dr. Andy Rowlands, a lecturer at the School of Engineering and Computing of SBC, published an article titled “Analytic model for the autocorrelation matrix based on piecewise-functional spectra, and its application in camera characterization” in Optics Express (JCR-Q2). Dr. Rowlands is the first and corresponding author.

Recently, Dr. Naeem Faraz, an SBC lecturer in business, published an article titled “Enhancing heat transfer via natural convection of copper nanofluid in a rectangular enclosure featuring heated oval cavities” in Open Physics. SBC-USST was the first unit, and Dr. Faraz was the first author.

Dr Phillip Williams, an EAP lecturer at SBC-USST, has recently published an academic paper titled "Our simple fleet of fish boats: Finances, men and resources of the Counter-armada of 1589" (translated from the original Spanish).

Recently, Dr. Muhammad Shemyal Nisar, one of SBC engineering lecturers, published an article titled “Low-loss phase change materials-based reprogrammable non-volatile 1 × 2 switch on integrated metasurfaces” in iScience (4.1, JCR-Q2).
