To all Schools, Colleges and Departments,
The 2026 International Forum on Higher Education jointly hosted by the China Association of Higher Education (CAHE) and Tongji University, and co-organised by the Shanghai Association of Higher Education (SAHE), will be held in Shanghai in December 2026. The theme of the Forum is “University Talent Development in the Era of the New Technological Revolution: Challenges and Transformations.” As one of the key outcomes of the Forum, a Collection of Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Cases (2026): Talent Development Practices in the Context of the Technological Revolution is planned for publication. We are now inviting typical case studies from universities both in China and overseas. In order to fully showcase USST’s achievements in internationalisation, the International Affairs Office of USST will take overall responsibility for coordinating the selection of cases from our university and recommending them to the Shanghai Association of Higher Education.
I. Scope of the Call
We are particularly seeking cases on Sino-foreign cooperative education, international joint degree programmes, international research collaboration, AI-enabled international talent development, international industry schools, and other innovative and replicable cases of international collaborative talent development.
II. Case Requirements
Cases should be submitted in both Chinese and English versions, covering basic information, project background, project content, and project outcomes. The Chinese text should not exceed 3,000 characters, and the English text should not exceed 2,000 words. Up to three images may be attached. The content should comprise two parts: basic information and project details, as follows:
(A) Basic Information
Case title
Submitting unit: universities both in China and oversea
Contact person: name, email address, telephone number
(B) Project Details
Project background (300–500 Chinese characters / 150–300 English words): Briefly explain the rationale for initiating the project, the problem it addresses, and the basis for collaboration.
Project content (1,000–1,500 Chinese characters / 500–800 English words): Present the main initiatives, implementation mechanisms, and collaboration models in bullet-point or itemised form.
Project outcomes (500–800 Chinese characters / 250–450 English words): Combine quantitative results with qualitative evaluation, demonstrating tangible impact and replicability.
III. Format Requirements
Document format: Word document, with the file named “College name + Case title.”
Image format: JPG or PNG, with a resolution of no less than 300 dpi, submitted together with the main text document.
IV. Selection and Recommendation
The International Affairs Office will conduct a formal review and compile all submissions for onward submission to the Shanghai Association of Higher Education. Selected cases will be included in the Collection of Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Cases (2026).
V. Submission
Submitting units should send the Word version of their case to gollum122@126.com by 12 October 2026. The email subject line should be formatted as “College name + Case title.”
