In May 2026, a group of students from SBC-USST summer school exchange programme, led by four faculty members and together with five international students, visited the China headquarters of TK Elevator (TKE) in Shanghai. The TKE team gave the delegation a warm welcome and provided an overview of the company’s background, core business, technological innovations, and global strategy.
During the interactive session, students learned that TKE, as one of the world's leading providers of elevator and escalator solutions, is committed to advancing sustainable urban mobility through safe, efficient, and intelligent products and services.

The highlights of the visit included:
· A tour of TKE’s modern headquarters, offering insights into its business footprint and industry influence in China and global markets;
· A visit to the company’s core laboratory and production workshop, where students observed component testing and intelligent manufacturing processes first-hand, gaining a real sense of the full operational chain from R&D to production;
· An introduction to the company’s early-career talent development programmes, along with a first-hand glimpse of TKE’s global workplace culture.
The visit concluded with an interactive Q&A session, during which students raised questions on industry trends, emerging technologies, and career opportunities within multinational companies.
The event not only offered international students valuable insight into a world-leading manufacturing company but also further strengthened the exchange and collaboration between SBC-USST and TK Elevator.
