From 31 July 31 to 2 August, the 14th China National Undergraduate “Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship” Challenge National Finals were held at Fuzhou University of International Studies and Trade. 232 teams from 164 universities across 31 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions, and the Macao Special Administrative Region advanced to the national finals among over 180,000 registered teams.
The Team “Zizi Robot Charging for Automobile” from SBC-USST stood out with their exceptional innovative thinking and extraordinary practical skills and won an impressive second prize in the national finals!
Team Zizi deeply understood the painpoints in the new energy vehicle market and creatively proposed a solution. Leveraging SBC’s international education and innovative mindset in scientific research, the team independently developed advanced charging port induction components and an intelligent flexible robotic arm. They successfully built an efficient suspended charging system, enabling a single charging unit to flexibly and quickly charge multiple vehicles, which significantly enhances user experience and brings a technological breakthrough to the charging challenges in the new energy vehicle industry.
During the preparation period, SBC’s students and advisers worked closely together and made continuous technical breakthroughs while deeply exploring and optimising business models and market strategies. The team repeatedly refined their business plan and presentation materials, never giving up in the face of challenges. In the end, they outshone other competitors on the stage of the national finals and won high praise and recognition from the panel of judges.
This award not only marks the successful practice of the College's the theme of “Enterprise and Innovation” but also fully demonstrates the College's outstanding achievements in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship education and fostering students' all-around development. Looking forward, the Team “Zizi Robot Charging for Automobile” will continue to uphold the spirit of innovation, contributing more wisdom and strength to the prosperity of the new energy vehicle industry. And SBC will also continue to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, providing broader practical platforms and resource support for all faculty and students, and contributing to the construction of a high-level university for USST.
