To deepen thecollege students’ understanding of the competitions and various tracks of innovation and entrepreneurship, effectively improve their relative abilities, on April 26th, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Cup Shanghai University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Organizing Committee, in conjunction with Guotai Junan Securities, held the Guotai Junan Industry Track Training Camp and Specialized Training on the High-end Equipment Manufacturing Track at the Academic Lecture Hall of the Fuxing Road Campus. Wang Hao, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Yang Jianrong, Director of the Shanghai Science and Technology Education Guidance Committee, Ding Xiaodong, President ofUSST, Zhu Min, Vice President of Shanghai Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Investment (Group) Co., Ltd., Mao Aimin, Chairman of the Shanghai Guotai Junan Social Welfare Foundation, Zhao Meng, Director of the Student Affairs Center of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Cao Xiaoqing, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Science and Technology Art Education Center, Shen Yinglong, Director of the Macro Strategy Research Center of Guotai Junan Innovation Investment Co., Ltd., and more than 100 college student innovators and entrepreneurs attended the opening ceremony of the training session.
President Ding introduced the development history of USST and the efforts made in talent cultivation, scientific research, and social services. He pointed out that University of Shanghai for Science and Technology undertakes the mission of building a strong manufacturing country and enjoys the reputation of being the Whampoa Military Academy of the manufacturing industry. The high-end equipment manufacturing track matches well with the school's advantageous disciplines and specialties. He hopes to strengthen cooperation with industries including Guotai Junan in talent cultivation, employment, and other aspects, to jointly cultivate innovative talents with a background in science and engineering. He also encouraged college student innovators and entrepreneurs to use their wisdom to create their own youth, and strive to realize their youthful dreams through hard work.
