BA (Hons) Events Management is for students interested in working in the fast-paced Events industry. From rock concerts and the Olympic Games to local weddings and store openings, events managers are needed in various industries throughout the world. What’s Included ?
As an academic subject, Events Management incorporates a variety of academic disciplines, including Management, Marketing and Hospitality. This course is designed to produce graduates equipped with the skills, knowledge and competence to manage events. This includes venue selection, public safety and crowd control, the provision of staffing, marketing, design and staging, music promotion and sponsorship.
Some of the subjects include Introduction to Management Accounting; Meeting, Conference and Exhibition Management; Stadium and Arena Management; Creativity and Innovation in Context; and Research Methods.
Events Management students at SBC also take an active role in organising and managing a live event held on campus. Final year SBC students organise and manage live events off campus for external organisations and every Events Management student experiences working with a charity before they graduate.
