On 27th and 28th July, the Sino-British College held the Graduation and Degree Awarding Ceremonies for 2023 graduates of Liverpool John Moores University, University of Huddersfield, Sheffield Hallam University and USST. The Classes of 2020, 2021 and 2022 were warmly invited to celebrate their graduation together. Dr. CAI Yonglian, Vice President of USST, Dean of SBC; Prof Laura Bishop, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Liverpool John Moores University; Prof Jane Owen-Lynch, Pro Vice-Chancellor of University of Huddersfield; Prof Chris Wigginton, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Sheffield Hallam University; Prof Rupert Ward, Executive Dean of SBC; Prof SHAN Yanguang, Vice Dean of SBC; Dr. CAI Hui, Deputy Party Secretary and Associate Dean of SBC attended the Ceremonies. The leadership and programme leaders of School of Optical-Electrical and Computer Engineering of USST, School of Mechanical Engineering of USST, Business School of USST, SBC lecturers, graduates and their families and friends joined the special moment. Dr. CAI Hui and Dr Christian Matthews, Director of the School of Engineering of LJMU emceed the ceremonies.

Dr. CAI Yonglian sent her congratulation to all the 2023 graduates and warmly welcomed the Classes of 2020, 2021 and 2022 to return to SBC on behalf of USST. Dr. CAI pointed out that each graduate has delivered a gorgeous transcript with your commitment, and SBC is shining brightly and brilliantly because of your outstanding performance. Each graduate has been a witness to SBC’s hard work to overcome challenges and innovate in many ways, to SBC’s great success in promoting educational reform with the goal of high-level cooperative education, to SBC's relentless efforts in high-quality exchanges and cooperation.
Dr. CAI said sincerely to all the graduates: “Firstly, please always remember the motto of USST -- Honesty, Integrity, Diligence, Benevolence. Learning, Reflection, Vision, Aspiration. Be ambitious, vigorous and courageous as a USST degree holder. Please bravely find your future paths in life, live a meaningful life, and serve your country. Secondly, please continue to strengthen your resolve in this ever-changing world. Always be calm and composed in good times and bad times. Thirdly, please be good at finding and appreciating beauty. ‘Every form of beauty has its uniqueness, precious is to appreciate other forms of beauty with openness. Beauty should represent itself with diversity and integrity.’ We hope that you make every choice in your life in pursuit of your aspirations and beauty around you. Always try to broaden your horizons in diverse cultures and become a better you in the future.”
