Delegation of Committee for Ethnic and Religious Affairs, CPPCC Shanghai Committee visited SBC

On November 12th, Min Weixing, Chair of Committee for Ethnic and Religious Affairs, CPPCC Shanghai Committee visited SBC. Cai Yonglian, Vice President of USST, Dean of SBC, Li Yan, Secretary of General Party Branch of SBC, XU Lin, Deputy Secretary of General Party Branch of SBC, Associate Dean of Administration of SBC and relevant staff attended the meeting in the British Tea Room.

Cai warmly welcomed the visitors and introduced USST' s accomplishments in high-level university construction as well as new insights and new measures in Sino-foreign cooperation, international accreditations and opening-up in education.

A promotional video was shown to reveal the history of SBC in the past 15 years, especially the development and achievements linked to the three overarching themes – Responsible Leadership, Enterprise and Innovation and Cultural Empathy.

The College Executives introduced the school history, talent education, programme development, academic staff, Party building, student managements, innovation and enterprise, international exchange and prospect of SBC.

Min Weixing sent his congratulations to the Sino-British College on its 15th Anniversary and every accomplishments during these years and learned more about SBC during this visit. He called for efforts to: (1) further development and innovation; (2) promote internationalisation in education; and (3) attract and develop more talents through branding.

Before the meeting, Min had a campus tour of SBC.
