SBC students won the bronze prize of the 12th "Challenge Cup" Chinese College Student Business Plan Competition

On 9th February, The 12th “Challenge Cup” National College Student Entrepreneurship Program Competition was concluded in the Northeast Forestry University.  University of Shanghai For Science and Technology won the “National Prize For Excellent Organization ” for the first time and won the “Winning Prize” again. The team consisting of three students SUN Jiaming, LU Shiwen, WANG Yifan from the Sino-British College and the《Eagle eye terahertz organic super detector》team from the College of Optoelectronic Information and Computer Engineering.

As for this award, LU Shiwen, a senior student majoring in Business Management said that it is the joint efforts that made by our team and teachers result. She was also very glad that she made full use of the professional business knowledge in this competition. “Combined with the advanced professional technology of the College of Optoelectronic Information and Computer Engineering, we analyzed from the market pain points thus broadening the application of terahertz technology in various fields.” In her opinion, it was an unforgettable competition experience, and she broadened her horizon when participating in a team with senior.

The excellent performance of SBC students in this “Challenge Cup” National College Student Entrepreneurship Program Competition, not only reflected the students' creative ability and comprehensive quality, but also showcases the phased achievements with the theme of “Responsible Leadership, Enterprise and Innovation, Cultural Empathy”. SBC will also continue to create a good atmosphere for innovation and entrepreneurship, establish a platform for innovation and entrepreneurship, promote innovation and entrepreneurship education and encourage all teachers and students to actively participate in the innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Challenge Cup Chinese College Student Business Plan Competition was launched by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League in 1999. It is held every two years and has been successfully held 11 times so far. As one of the  most concerned national entrepreneurship competitions by Chinese college students, the competition guides and inspires groups of young people to enhance their understanding of national conditions and social conditions through social practice and observation, stimulate the spirit of innovation, cultivate entrepreneurial consciousness and enhance their socialization ability. The 12th Challenge Cup Chinese College Student Business Plan Competition in 2020 attracted 179,000 project applications from 2,786 universities across the country, with 924,000 students participating. The number of students participating, the universities and the works have hit a new high.
