On 17th December, a delegation from the International College of China Agricultural University, (Party Secretary CHEN Minghai, Dean LI Daoliang, Assistant Dean LIU Chang, General Office Director WANG Ning, and Head of Sino-British Project Section YAN Fang) visited SBC. LI Yan, Party Secretary of SBC; LIU Qin, Vice-Dean of SBC; XU Lin, Associate Dean of Administration of SBC; Joyce ZHANG, Head of Student Management; Elline TANG, Head of Registry; Lily LIN, Recruitment Director; Eric JIN, Head of Career Service & Development of SBC, Deputy Student Management of SBC; Julia GE, Director of Resources and Planning of SBC, Head of HR of SBC; Steve ZHANG, Finance & Planning Manager of SBC also attended the meeting.
Before the meeting, Laura Bishop, Principal of SBC warmly welcomed our visitors.
In the meeting, LIU Qin introduced SBC’s history, education, student development, and graduates’ achievements, etc. Then, XU Lin shared our development over recent years. She highlighted SBC’s focus on education quality and creativity to promote student development.
XU Lin introduced education development, and innovation and entrepreneurship in SBC. She said, with the joint efforts of lecturers and students, SBC has achieved excellent results in the development of academic disciplines and students. Also, a strong student-centred academic research team has been established to give full play to the academic and research expertise.
CHEN Minghai acknowledged SBC’s achievements. He briefly introduced the development and characteristics of the International College of China Agricultural University. He expressed the hope that there will be more communication and cooperation for mutual benefit.
There followed more discussions on teaching, development strategy, lectures and student management, student recruitment, alumni work, etc.
LI Yan said that SBC has an unique teaching model with new student-recruitment approaches and British education ideal currently. In the future, we are going to promote the secretary class to enhance the education.
After the meeting, the visitors had a campus tour of SBC.
