On the afternoon of 17th August, WU Zhong, Vice President of USST led the Planning and Development Office and the Infrastructure Division to the Sino-British College to inspect and guide the work during the hot weather. LI Yan, Party Secretary of the Sino-British College and deputy director of the Fuxing Road Campus Management Committee, accompanied the inspection team.
LI Yan warmly welcomed the inspection team and introduced the progress of the SBC infrastructure improvements as well as the infection-control measures. She emphasized that improving the infrastructure and building a better campus environment in time for the new semester is the top priority.
WU Zhong, accompanied by LI Yan, inspected progress on the student dormitories, canteen, teaching building, the renovation of old buildings and the domestic admissions department. Wherever he went, he asked about life, health, and working conditions, expressing his heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their hard work, and praised for their responsibility and attitude in such hot weather. WU Zhong cordially expressed sympathy to the faculty and staff keeping working and thanked the college's infrastructure and logistics support during the summer vacation.
WU Zhong underlined the importance that campus infrastructure is to lecturers and students’ campus life. He called on SBC to step up the construction work, making good use of every site to provide a superior environment and conditions for students' study and activities. He emphasized the importance of good project management to ensure quality and timely completion. He also emphasized maintaining of infection control measure during the vacation.
