SBC was invited to 2020 CIEET Online

On August 8th and 9th, the 2020 China International Education Exhibition Tour (CIEET Online) sponsored by China (Ministry of Education) Service Center for Overseas Studies was successfully held, with more than 110 colleges and institutions from 14 countries took place online. The Sino-British College, USST as the only Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run university in Shanghai using the one-to-many model, was invited to participate in this event. XU Lin, Deputy Dean of Administration of SBC, and LIN Yan, Director of Domestic Admissions Department, interacted with students and parents through the online live broadcast.

XU Lin introduced SBC’s history, characteristics, academic disciplines, and International project exchange and cooperation. She set out that the Sino-British College was formally established in 2006 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. It is an embedded tertiary college of USST. For more than ten years, SBC has achieved fruitful results in personnel training, subject innovation, cooperation and exchanges, innovation and entrepreneurship, and campus construction, which has been highly recognized by the Chinese and British government education departments. The college has always been committed to developing high-quality educational resources, with the intensification of university cooperation, the internationalisation of degree courses, the diversification of learning paths, and the elite training of talents, providing students with a wealth of professional disciplines, universities and learning paths. The college endeavours to allow students enjoy the world's high-quality higher education whilst living in Shanghai.

LIN Yan introduced the degree subjects of the collaborative partners, the enrollment plan of the strategic cooperation project between the China (Ministry of Education) Service Center for Overseas Studies and USST,independent enrollment and examination policies, scholarship plans, etc. During the interactive session, the questions were answered in detail. With the spread of the coronavirus globally, students and parents who originally planned to go directly overseas have re-thought plans and chosen to study at the Sino-British College or offer international collaborations to study in a safe and reliable environment. It is the ideal choice to monitor the situation while preparing for overseas studies.

The 2020 China International Education Exhibition Tour (CIEET Online) set up a virtual campus for international collaborations to showcasing for the first time the development achievements and introducing the latest projects, including Sino-British College-University of Shanghai for Science and Technology.
