On 20th July, Under the arrangements of the USST party committee, the second inspection group held a meeting to give their feedback after inspection in T113 meeting room, Fuxing Road campus. Participants included: LIU Daoping, Deputy Secretary, Discipline Inspection Secretary, Municipal Supervisory Commissioner of USST party committee; SHI Xiaoming, Director of the School Disciplinary Committee Office, Director of the Supervision and Inspection Office; HUANG Hui, Head of the second inspection group; ZHANG Wei, Deputy Head of the second inspection group, etc. LI Yan, Party Secretary of SBC, Deputy Director of Campus Management Committee, Fuxing Road Campus hosted the meeting.
In the meeting
The second inspection group started inspecting in SBC between 4th June and 15th July, 2020. During inspection, there was one project report, 15 individual conversations, 2 meetings, 4 conferences, and referring to 61 related books and financial booklet, spot checking 82 fixed assets, receiving 21 questionnaires, and no letter from the masses.
HUANG Hui summarized the inspection from three aspects: general comment, problems, and her suggestions. She mentioned that SBC is a Sino-foreign cooperative education institution that introducing overseas high-level education systematically. The college executive is a united, pragmatic and positive female team. Given that the optimization of the college’s organizational structure and changes to the rules and regulations are subject to the college’s Articles and other management regulations, there are more external staffs than establishment staffs and the size of students is small but the types and educational systems are diverse, they dare to venture , forge ahead and solidly promote the development of the college. However, there are also some problem, like unclear university-running orientation, weak party management, imperfection of internal control mechanism, etc. HUANG Hui putted forward her suggestions represented the party committee: Firstly, further improve political strategic planning; Secondly, further strengthen the construction of community-level party organizations and make party construction more effective; Thirdly, further strengthen the party’s management of talents to ensure the correct direction of the construction of lecturers; The fourth is to further promote education work, and fulfil the task of moral education and cultivate people; Fifth, further implement the main ideological responsibility to make progress on college construction and risk control; Sixth, further strengthen the construction of party and government, improve the internal control mechanism and work process.

LI Yan gave a speech about USST party inspection team’s feedback; she said the party committee of USST always attached importance to SBC, as well as teachers, students and staffs. The shortcomings and issues reflecting in this inspection will be paid attentions. According to the requirement of the party committee of USST, SBC will improve ideological understanding, keep issue orientation, and think highly on future to create better result, and achievement conversion.

Standing for USST, LIU Daoping also mentioned three requirements; the first point is to improve political position, thinking about the great meaning of this inspection; secondly, enhance the leading of party committee, coordinate each rectification task; then, strengthen the responsibilities to ensure the achievement. He mentioned that we must follow the thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in new era of XI Jinping andthe spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Party; put the arrangement of the party committee into the rectification work, and take the rectification work as an opportunity to speed up education reform and development. He required SBC to refine the inspection and rectification requirements to summarize the essential problems. Improving management system and management level to promote development of SBC.
