To mitigate the impact of COVID-19 for our 2020 graduates, the SBC Careers Service invited 6 professionals to give a series of on-line talks “New Career, Online Lecture”, which attracted more than 10 thousands hits!

The “New Career, Online Lecture” initiative addresses students’ career plans and skills with guidance from interview to future career development. This helps our students career thinking and entrance into the workplace along with practice for our students’ future growth, communication abilities, self-management, etc.

At the same time, in order to guide our students to make sound value judgements and keep an open vision when choosing careers, SBC has added ideology and political awareness to our students' career education. Joyce ZHANG, SBC’s Head of Student Management told us that a comprehensive set of qualities plays a positive role for our students’ career development, and that ideology and political awareness is definitely an improvement to the overall quality. These promote the contemporary university students' ideological and political consciousness; allowing them to adapt to society more easily and gain greater success in their careers.

Our Careers Service and Development Centre is committed to enhancing our students’ independent learning, career employability, social adaptability and cultural awareness by offering a systematic competency programme and services that support and facilitate career development for all our students. With the help of Career Service and Development Centre, students have opportunities to learn about their career options, a policy that is happily endorsed by our parents.
