Dear SBC Applicant,
We are delighted to hear that you are interested in attending SBC in the autumn. One of the big steps towards this goal is only 80 days away – taking the GaoKao examination. This is a really major event in the life of all our domestic students – a rite of passage for everyone who takes it.
We want you to succeed and get the best results in the GaoKao that you can. Here are our top tips for preparation:
Work through past examination papers — this can really help you. Start by doing them with open books and unlimited time, and end by practicing under exam conditions.
Make sure you study all the subjects which will be on your exam. Don’t neglect revising a subject because you are better or more confident at it.
Try to pace yourself. You want to reach peak preparation at the right time for your examination so take it easy while still getting enough preparation done every day.
Don’t forget to look after your body as well as your mind. Remember that exhaustion and a poor diet do no one any favours. Make time to sleep, relax and eat well.
