On March 14th, SBC’s Domestic Recruitment Department held the first SBC Entrance Examination and Interviews via the online platform, Zoom), starting the 2020-21 Admissions & Enrolment cycle.
During the SBC Entrance Examination day, Domestic Recruitment team held two online enrolment presentations, and there are more than 4,000 audiences in the live-streaming, which greatly exceeds our expectation. The online presentations provide students and parents a better and deeper understanding of SBC, they also express their keen interest in majors and SBC Entrance Examination and show a yearning for SBC.
On Bilibili live-streaming platform, FAN Shijia from 2018 graduate shared his study experiences and British teaching atmosphere in SBC, especially in majors, examination preparation, career planning, which attracts nearly 2,000 students and parents. YANG Endong from Zhejiang local office delivered a speech named “2020 SBC introduction and enrolment policy interpretation”. In the part of interaction with audiences, he answered the questions to which people pay attentions one by one, including majors, entrance examination, programmes, postgraduate rate, employment, Top-table scholarship, etc. After his speech, Mr. Yang warmly welcomed students and parents to consult in the enrolment QQ groups if they have any questions.
It is worth mentioning, the local offices of domestic recruitment launch a special plan which called “2020 Online Admissions & Enrolment” on several platforms, such as Bilibili, Qianliao, TikTok. Staff from the local offices engage in it to answer questions from students and parents. Additionally, Domestic Recruitment Department sets 2020 enrolment QQ group with online answering from recruitment director,consultants, student ambassadors and alumnus for better communication. Through this method, students and parents can receive the latest recruitment information at home.
According to Lily LIN, Director of Domestic Recruitment Department, SBC will recruit 345 free entry students from 31 provinces in China based on the policy of Ministry of Education; Recruitment will be conducted from candidate's application materials, entrance examination results and college entrance examination results and signed the entrance examination registration agreement. She emphasized the recent SBC entrance examination arrangement and reminded that parents and students can join in enrolment QQ group or check SBC official website http://www.sbc.usst.edu.cn/, or follow WeChat official account “sbczhaosheng”.
The orderly conduct of online enrolment publicity ensures the steady promotion of the recruitment work and lays a solid foundation to attract more excellent students.
