Directed by Shanghai Education Commission (SEC), conducted by University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST), and co-operated by other 31 universities which are members of Shanghai Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program (SIETP), the 6th Exhibition of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program was held in University of Shanghai for Science and Technology on September 21st.
Harvey Yu, a Year 3 student in SBC, won the best entrepreneurial report prize in virtue of his project “anti-dizziness technology ---- a solution to kinetosis”, and attended the roadshow of outstanding projects. Meanwhile, the project “Indoor Personnel Location and Interaction Based on Multi-Vision “, which was developed by Junzhe Wu and some other students from SBC, won the most favorite project prize.
There were totally 31 universities, more than 380 students with their 385 projects participating in the exhibition of achievements.
Kinetosis, which is also called “sea sickness” or “carsickness” popularly, has exerted adverse effects on almost 80% people in China. The team which won the best entrepreneurial report prize developed a kind of “anti-dizziness glasses.”
“Different from common glasses, ‘anti-dizziness glasses’ consist of four circular transparent rings, each of which contains some colored liquid.” Introduced by Harvey Yu, “The four circular transparent rings are capable of covering 180 full views. Thanks to the ability of those colored liquid for keeping a balance between the perception of eyes and inner ears, users will find it obvious to alleviate the symptom of kinetosis when reading or using smartphones.” Yu has applied for 4 national patents, and has sold more than 2,000 pairs of ‘anti-dizziness glasses’ through different media, for instance, Douyin and Red.
The project “Indoor Personnel Location and Interaction Based on Multi-Vision“ developed by Fuxing Makers Club was firstly inspired when they were introducing their laboratory to a batch of foreign guests. Guided or active interaction can be realized according to the input of actions of visitors. The project is designed for the purpose of providing perfect visiting experience to the best of its ability, and avoiding embarrassment caused by potential provisional arrangement, for instance, temporary staff maybe are unfamiliar with interpretation content or feel nervous.
SBC insists on three educational principles, “responsible leadership, enterprise and innovation, and cultural empathy”, which contributes to the outstanding results of this exhibition of achievements. Moreover, SBC always contrives to improve the enthusiasm of students towards innovation and entrepreneurship, and create a dense atmosphere for them.
