How do SBC students show at the EvM Live Event 2019?

On March 20th, the SBC Events Management Students held their EvM Live Event 2019 at one of the year’s most popular campus events. This event took "SBC FUN FAIR" as the theme and included 9 different and unique group exhibition areas at the pitch, which offered the most intuitive experiences for audiences.

The EvM Live Event is an annual event led by SBC Events Management students. Y3 Events Management students are expected to plan and execute the activities in small groups according to the theme given by their teachers.

In the interactive exhibition area, students displayed and sold various of goods, delicacies and handicrafts. There were also interesting games and creative lotteries, which attracted a lot of teachers and students. In addition, a special performance area equipped with open stage and musical instruments was also set up this time and each participant can enjoy the wonderful performances brought by students.

Li Xinyi from the Group 3 said, “‘Rubber Ducks & Timing Game’is the theme of our booth and we hope that participants can get relaxed and relieved through the game. Members of our team also support the logistics on the scene and I am very grateful for their contributions.” Besides, Tong Xueqing from the Group 4 said, “We want to bring you back to those good old days when your mobile phone wasn’t your best friend.” They took "Carnival of Nostalgia" as the theme and prepared classic childhood games, thus attracting a lot of attention.

The biggest difference between EvM and other majors of SBC is that their students can achieve practical experiences and professional knowledge and skills through these event activities. Kristy Reed, Lecturer of Event Management, who was responsible for the whole event said, “The opportunity to gain practical experience of events management is a key feature of this course. Thanks everyone’s efforts the event was very successful and enjoyable.”

The EvM Live Event is an important platform to display students’ culture, both showing teaching achievements and providing a stage for students to show their creativity and talent, actively promote the construction of the college and students’ development.
