On March 22, David Taylor, Vice President of University of Huddersfield, visited SBC. Ms Cai Yonglian, Vice President of USST, Dean of SBC, and Professor Laura C. Bishop, Principal of SBC, met with David Taylor and extended a warm welcome to his on behalf of the College. Ms Li Yan, Party Secretary of SBC, Deputy Director of Campus Management Committee, Fuxing Road Campus, Professor Linda Liu, Vice Dean of SBC, Ms Xu Lin, Associate Dean of Administration of SBC and Ms Shona Ni, Executive Assistant to the Principal of SBC, attended the meeting.
Ms Cai Yonglian gave a brief introduction to the academic achievements, graduates and talents training of USST. She also hoped that both institutions could continue to promote the international cooperation and make new achievements in the future.
Prof. Laura Bishop led a discussion about SBC, including the development history, future plans, key discipline construction, academic personnel building, academic achievements and talent cultivation.
David Taylor expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and said that University of Huddersfield attaches great importance to the cooperation with SBC. He also hoped that this visit can further strengthen the in-depth cooperation between both sides in academic research and international cooperation programs.
Following the presentation, both sides also had a detailed discussion with the summer courses, international cooperative projects, challenges and future development directions.
After the meeting, accompanied by Prof. Laura Bishop and Professor Linda Liu, David Taylor visited the SBC campus. He also visited the outstanding student associations of SBC, including the "RoboVigor" and "Starry Ink ", and gave highly praise on the innovation and achievements of SBC students.
