SBC hosts a Delegation from NCUK

On 6th March, SBC was delighted to welcome a delegation from the Northern Consortium UK (NCUK). Led by Mr Neil Mclean CBE, Chairman of NCUK, the delegation also included Ms Georgina Jones, Market Development Director of NCUK, and Mr Harry Feng, Regional Manager of NCUK. Professor Laura Bishop, Principal of SBC, and XU Lin, Associate Dean of Administration of SBC, met with the delegation and extended a warm welcome to them on behalf of the College.

Gordon Callan, Head of the School of Languages, Education and Culture of SBC, Andy Ritchie, Programme Leader and Senior Lecturer of the School of Business and Management of SBC, Tony Ryan, Programme Leader and Senior Lecturer of the School of Business and Management of SBC, Lee Henderson, Senior Lecturer of the School of Business and Management of SBC and Shona Ni, Executive Assistant to the Principal of SBC, attended the meeting.

Prof. Laura Bishop led a discussion about SBC, including the development history, future plans, key discipline construction, academic personnel building, academic achievements and talent cultivation.

Mr Neil Mclean CBE then expressed great gratitude for the welcome and agreed that NCUK attaches great importance to the cooperation and exchanges with SBC. He also hoped that this visit could further strengthen the in-depth cooperation between both sides in academic exchanges, overseas services and support for international students.

Following the presentation, programme leaders from SBC also had a detailed discussion with NCUK representatives over the teaching management reforms, challenges and future development directions.

After the meeting, the delegation was invited to University of Shanghai for Science and Technology for an exchange visit during the afternoon.
