The cultural lecture on the theme of Chinese paper cutting was successfully held in SBC library on 14th December. Under the joint planning of the College Social Practice Committee and the Chinese Paper Cutting Society, Mr SUN Jihai, representative of the intangible cultural heritage of Shanghai Paper Cutting, was invited to bring an interesting cultural class to both Chinese and foreign students at SBC.
Mr Sun Jihai taught the paper cutting techniques by personally demonstrating and referring to Chinese Paper Cutting samples. Mr Sun Jihai highly recongnised that the students for their innovative thinking and learning abilities, some excellent works were posted on the exhibition boards, which received by small gifts.
In the future, SBC will continue to promote the promotion and dissemination of Chinese traditional culture into campus, such as the forms of cultural lectures or classes, and help students to build cultural self-confidence.
