Zhou Wenxin, business management student at SBC, now studying at the University of Leeds, was awarded top performing student scholarship in the 2018 NCUK Prize Award Ceremony in the UK on 28th November. Audrey Emory Tuech, business management student at SBC, was also presented the top performing student scholarship certificate by Professor Roger Eccleston, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Sheffield Hallam University and Madam Cai Yonglian, Vice President (International) of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) and Dean of SBC at SBC on 7th December. Professor Laura Bishop, Principal of SBC, congratulated the award winners from SBC for their excellent performances.
Madam Cai said, “The NCUK Prize Award promotes the development of overseas students' education, increases the number of high-level international students and enhances the sense of pride in our students. The prizes are not only awards encouraging the two students to go further but also drive our SBC students to follow their dreams!”
Between 27th November and 1st December, The Northern Consortium of the United Kingdom (NCUK) held its annual meeting and prize award ceremony at Aston University in the UK. Professor Laura Bishop, Principal of SBC, was invited to attend the event on behalf of the College. She was accompanied by Wand Yu, Head of PR & Marketing of SBC, Zhang Wei, Head of Career Service & Development of SBC and NI Wenyan, Executive Assistant to the Principal of SBC.
Professor Laura Bishop and her colleagues visited Aston University, the University of Birmingham and other universities whilst attending academic forums and meetings held by partner universities during the five-day visit. They experienced British culture in the UK, viewed the facilities in the universities visited and had in-depth discussions onthe development of Sino-British cooperative education.
