QIU Yilin, Year 2 Electrical and Electronic Engineering student from SBC, won the first prize of the 10th National College Student Mathematics Competition in Shanghai division. He will go to the finals at Harbin Institute of Technology with other ten students from Tongji University and Shanghai Jiaotong University on 30th March.
Nearly 2,300 people from 23 colleges and universities in Shanghai participated in the competition. QIU Yilin is the only non-mathematics student representative of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, and it is also the best result in such national mathematics competitions for college students of SBC!
This is the result of our college attaching importance to teaching reform and talent cultivation. It is also a new achievement in the training of academic personnel in our SBC.
