On 23th October, Mr Andrew Dodman, Chief Operating Officer of the University of Sheffield, visited SBC. Professor Laura C. Bishop, Principal of SBC, Li Yan, Party Secretary of SBC, Deputy Director of Campus Management Committee, Fuxing Road Campus, Professor Linda Liu, Vice Dean of SBC and Xu Lin, Associate Dean of Administration of SBC, with representatives of SBC academic team, met with Mr Andrew Dodman on his arrival.
A business meeting was held by the representatives with senior colleagues from SBC to discuss aspects of collaboration. Professor Bishop extended a warm welcome to the official on behalf of the College. She gave a brief introduction of SBC, including the undergraduate programmes, model of teaching and learning, career prospects, student achievement and its development plan.
Following the presentation, the delegation engaged in wide-ranging discussions with the SBC team on further strengthen the cooperative ties between the two institutions and provide an opportunity for SBC students and staff to be informed about the latest developments at the University of Sheffield.
After the conference, Professor Bishop invited Mr Andrew Dodman to experience the SBC campus and view the facilities and SBC student societies in innovation and entrepreneurship.
Mr Andrew Dodman thanked SBC for the continued support for enhancing the cooperation between the two institutions and agreed that Sheffield and SBC would explore the potential for further collaboration on our partner programmes' development.
