SBC Attended the 2018 China Annual Conference for International Education & Expo

The China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) held its Annual Conference for International Education & Expo in Beijing between 18th and 21st October. The meeting was hosted at the China National Convention Center. Fang Jun, Vice Minister of Education, Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic China (PRC), Xu Yongji, Vice Minister of Education, Ministry of Education of PRC, were joined by educational officials and university representatives from China, Russia, Japan, Ireland and other countries attended the event, along with representatives of the news media.

This annual conference is focused on the theme of "Education Modernization - Practice and Exploration", exploring how to promote educational modernization under the new situation, to support the development of Sino- Foreign cooperative education in China.

Madame Cai Yonglian, Vice President (International) of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST), Dean of the Sino-British College (SBC), was accompanied by Ma Xiaoting, Director of International Office of USST, Professor Linda Liu, Vice Dean of SBC and Xu Lin, Associate Dean of Administration of SBC, with SBC administrative staff, were invited to attend on behalf of SBC.

Professor Liu spoke at the parallel forum on Sino-British Cooperation Education Study in China. She gave a brief introduction on the establishment of SBC and recent developments here,and also discussed developments in international student recruitment overall.

An Annual Exhibition on Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Education was also held during the conference. This provided opportunities for Chinese and foreign universities and institutions to present and exchange their achievements in Sino-foreign cooperation for running schools and colleges. SBC showed its recent developments, campus cultural events and outstanding student achievements with videos and pictures at the booth.
