Senior representatives of Liverpool John Moores University visit SBC

On 10th October, Sarah Beresford, Director of International Relations of Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), visited The Sino-British College (SBC). Sarah Beresford was accompanied by Professor Dhiya AL-Jumeily, Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology of LJMU (Global Engagement), Julia Wang, Head of China Engagement of LJMU and the China engagement team.  

The representatives held a meeting with senior colleagues from SBC to discuss aspects of collaboration. From SBC, the meeting was attended by  Professor John Wilson, Principal and CEO,  Professor Linda Liu, Vice Dean, Gordon Callan, Head of School of Languages, Education and Cultures,  Dr Gareth Lewis, Programme Leader of the LJMU Engineering programmes, Andy Ritchie, Assistant Director for Partnerships, Iris Yuan, Director of International Affairs and Ben Wang, Director of Marketing and Public Relations.

On behalf of the College Executive team, Professor John Wilson extended a warm welcome to Sarah Beresford and her colleagues and gave a brief introduction of SBC and its plan of activities for the future.

At the meeting, the delegation engaged in wide-ranging discussions with the SBC team on how to deepen the academic cooperation between the two institutions and strategies for enhancing the learning experience of students studying in an international environment. Sarah Beresford highly recognized the success achieved by SBC in all aspects and agreed that LJMU and SBC would explore the potential for further collaboration on international students, research partnerships and scientific research cooperation.
