General SBC IT Policy for Use of IT Devices in ICT Classrooms

  • Please do not change any setting in computer OS or install other software.

  • Inserting a personnel USB flash disk or mobile disk to the computer is not recommended for anti-virus reasons.

  • Please do not move or disassemble the computer.

  • Please do not move the computer out of ICT room.

  • Please do not hit the keyboard repeatedly and shake the main box of the computer.

  • Please do not switch on / off the equipment frequently. If problems occur, please shut down the equipment and turn off the power.

  • Please do not put water near IT equipment.

  • No eating and drinking near IT equipment.

  • Graffiti on the IT equipment is forbidden.

  • Please shut down the main box and LCD of the computer after class.

  • Please do not touch the projector, especially when it is operational.

  • Please return the remote controller of the projector to the original place after class.

General SBC IT Policy for the Use IT Devices in AV classrooms

  • Please open the platform in AV classroom with the key, which is kept in T611 (for the AV classroom in teaching building) and L106 (for the AV classroom in the LRC).

  • Please do not disconnect any part of the equipment in the teacher’s platform, as this may cause serious problems for the equipment, as well as inconvenience for other people.

  • Please do not charge the personnel device with the power socket built in the platform, in order to avoid any shocks and other security incidents.

  • Please do not take away any extension cords for data & power, as this may also cause serious problems for the equipment, as well as inconvenience for other people.

  • Before starting your study, please set aside enough time to check equipment. For any technical problems outside of your control please call the IT Service Centre.

  • Please lock the door of the platform when you are finished using the AV resources and return the key in time.
