Notice on 2024 Graduation Ceremony of SBC
Dear Graduates,
The 2024 Graduation Ceremony of SBC held for the Class of 2024 of LJMU, HUD and SHU is approaching. Please find detailed arrangements about the ceremony and what you need to do in advance and on that day.
1. The 2024 Graduation Ceremony (UK Partner Universities)
Time: 14:00 – 16:00 (UTC+8), 25 July 2024 (Thursday)
Venue: Teaching Building 701 of SBC (NO. 1195 Fuxing Rd., Fuxing Road Campus of USST)
UK partner universities: Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), University of Huddersfield (HUD), Sheffield Hallam University (SHU)
2. Arrangements

3. Notes
1) Please pay close attention to the weather and flight, and make travel arrangements in advance.
2) Please sign in and borrow the graduation gown according to your UK university at the right time at TB 102. You may then dress up at TB 110.
3) You are NOT ALLOWED to sign in or borrow the gown since 12:45 on 25 July. Then we’ll have the finalist for the graduates present to allocate your seat beforehand and guide you how to get on stage in order at the Ceremony, receiving your certificate and congratulations from the Leadership. If you arrive late, it is not available for you to get on stage but you may be an audience.
4) Please wear your gown properly and arrive at TB 201 before 13:00 on 25 July, and get your seat numbers.
5) Graduation is an important time to celebrate and remember. Please pay attention to the timeline and arrangements and not to miss anything important.
4. Dress code
Please follow the dress code of the Ceremony and pay attention to the guidance of the rehearsal on stage to know how to take your degree certificate and interact with the Leadership. The academic dress set SBC will offer includes a gown, a hood and a mortar board. On these days we would advise black leather shoes with blouse or shirt and tie. You may find it helpful to use hairgrips to hold your mortar board in place.
If you have any question please turn to your tutor for help. Pay close attention to your later email or the notifications published on SBC's website/ official Wechat account for more detailed arrangements and make appropriate arrangements. We will update there if anything important changes.
