Reasons for Recommendation:

In today’s media literate and visual culture, consumers are faced with thousands of communications all struggling for attention, and brands compete in a crowded and potentially global market place. Marketing communications can be seen to permeate all aspects of our daily lives and is worthy of academic investigation. Current thinking in marketing suggests that all communications should be integrated together with the organisation as a whole.

Reasons for Recommendation:

An Introduction to Mechanical Engineering is an excellent choice for first-year undergraduate students. Qingyu Zhou

Events Management of Grade 2014(3+1)

Obtained a Master Offer from the University of Edinburgh (UoE)

周清宇推荐书目.jpg

Reasons for Recommendation:

I recommend this book for the students who want to further study and explore events and project management.  For the final year events student who plan to choose the optional module called Managing the Client’s Event, this book will be very helpful in providing the conceptual framework for the literature review and event practice.

In terms of its content, the book offers a unique blend of theory and practice to encourage and contextualise project management requirements within events settings. Consisted of twelve chapters, topics such as stakeholders, supply chain management, project management tools and techniques, and financial and legal issues are all covered  from various perspectives, which can help to solve the questions like what is project management? How does it connect to events management? What is effective project management within the events sector?

The book also integrates guides, templates, case study examples, industry tips and activity tasks in an engaging written style that offers the reader a thorough understanding of how to successfully project manage an event from the creative idea to the concrete product.  Therefore, I choose to recommend this book.

Reasons for Recommendation:

As the introductory book of computer vision, digital image processing (Third Edition) has been used as the main teaching material for more than 30 years, this book not only explains the concepts and algorithm models of computer vision related algorithms very well, but also explains the evolution process of the algorithm, a large number of practical examples are given. The image processing area covered by this book includes grayscale transformation and spatial filtering, fourier transform and filtering in frequency domain, image enhancement, image restoration, computer fault, fuzzy set, image color processing, wavelet, video compression, morphological processing, image segmentation and other current hot image algorithms. Whether you want to dabble or understand the derivation, this book is worth reading repeatedly. Even if you want to develop in the current popular field of image deep learning, this book is also suitable for laying the foundation.
