Recently, the 2025 National Finals of the RAICOM Robot Developer Competition were held in Huangshi, Hubei Province. Competing against young developers from across China, RoboVigor, a robotics team from SBC-USST secured two National Third Prizes in the Smart Orchard track.

Organised by the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, this year's competition adopted the theme Robots for Humanity. It featured four main tracks: CAIR Engineering Competition, CAIA Digital Culture and Creativity, CAIM Engineering Maker, and CAIP Information Technology Innovation, attracting over 20,000 participants nationwide.

Two student teams comprising twelve members from SBC RoboVigor Team advanced to the national finals after months of dedicated preparation. With strong institutional support and close faculty mentorship of USST and SBC, the students utilized their summer holidays to iteratively innovate their equipment, repeatedly calibrate robotic arms, and optimize visual recognition algorithms. Through mastering and applying technologies in robot perception, AI recognition, autonomous navigation, and operational control, they successfully developed the full functionality of an intelligent fruit-picking robot. Their excellent performance, which earned them a Provincial First Prize, paved their way to the national competition, where they ultimately claimed two National Third Prizes.

This achievement vividly reflects the fruitful outcomes of SBC's educational theme Enterprise and Innovation. Building on this success, the College will continue to deepen the integration of innovation and entrepreneurship education with real-world industry needs. We remain committed to cultivating high-quality, versatile talents equipped with innovative thinking, new engineering competencies, and a global perspective, thereby contributing tangibly to the high-quality development of USST.
