To guide students in planning their further studies and career paths while preparing for overseas education, SBC hosted the 2025 UK Partner Universities Consultation Fair on March 21 in the Tea Room. A delegation from SBC’s UK partner universities provided over 50 students with valuable insights into university admissions, application procedures, key academic programmes, scholarship opportunities, and career development. Organised by the college’s Overseas Services Department, the event was attended by Professor ZHANG Zheng, Vice Dean of SBC, who engaged in interactive discussions with university representatives. The two sides explored potential collaborations in high-level programmes, talent development, academic exchanges, student exchange initiatives, faculty visits, international summer schools, and joint international courses.

Representatives from the University of Bradford, University of Huddersfield, Liverpool John Moores University, University of Leeds, and University of Sheffield introduced students to their respective institutions, covering topics such as admission policies, education systems, scholarship programmes, specialised courses, employment prospects, cultural differences, and student support services. Information booths were set up at the event, where students could collect brochures and application guides to help them choose the best academic path for their future studies abroad. Following the presentations, representatives engaged in face-to-face discussions with students, answering questions related to university selection, career planning, and life as an international student.
The consultation fair was met with enthusiasm, as students actively engaged in discussions, demonstrating strong academic abilities, self-management skills, communication proficiency, and a global outlook—qualities that earned high praise from university representatives. Zhu Zheyan, a sophomore majoring in Business Mangement, expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to gain deeper insights into multiple universities. Thanks to the valuable guidance and practical advice from university representatives, she now feels more confident about applying to her dream school and is determined to pursue further studies to achieve her ambitions on a broader international stage.
