The breath of spring quietly arrives, heralding the start of a new semester. On the morning of 17th February, Li Yan, Party Secretary of SBC, Cai Hui, Deputy Party Secretary and Associate Dean of SBC, delved into the frontline of teaching and administrative departments to strictly enforce teaching management and order and to ensure campus safety and student services, ensuring the smooth and orderly progression of all tasks for the new semester.
Li Yan and her team conducted on-site inspections of the teaching buildings, laboratories, canteens, and various administrative departments. They comprehensively reviewed the order of classroom teaching, teaching equipment, teaching environment, laboratory safety, campus environmental construction, student support services, and student life support. They listened to reports on the teaching arrangements and organisational status for the new semester. The College Excecutive expressed satisfaction with the thorough teaching preparations by faculty and the high spirits of students, and acknowledged the efforts made by all departments. They emphasized the need to strengthen the sense of responsibility, focus on the needs of teachers and students, ensure safety and stability, and optimize services to provide a conducive environment for the healthy growth of students and the development of the college. They also hoped that teachers would deepen the educational content, optimize teaching methods, and enhance the level of internationalisation through higher quality education and research.
SBC places great importance on the inspection at the beginning of the new semester, laying a solid foundation for the daily teaching and quality of education. As teaching activities fully commence, the College will continue to rigorously enforce teaching and learning styles, adhere to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, highlight the characteristics of international education, cultivate outstanding talents with international perspectives and competitiveness, and advance the construction of USST to a higher level of excellence.
