Representative of the University of Leeds visited SBC

On the afternoon of 19 October, Martin Maule, Director of International Pathways Centre, University of Leeds visited the Sino-British College. Rupert Ward, Executive Dean of SBC, Shan Yanguang, Vice Dean of SBC, Cai Hui, Deputy Party Secretary and Associate Dean of SBC attended the meeting and had a discussion on collaborative education, including programmes and courses, further studies and future development of students.

Rupert Ward warmly welcomed Martin Maule and introduced the College history, the one to N Consortium Model and international communication and collaboration. Shan Yanguang mainly introduced the achievements the SBC community have made in recent years in talent development, undergraduate courses, international accreditations and the management of teaching staff, also expressed his gratitude to the University of Leeds for its long-term support for SBC' s development. He said that SBC has had a long and fruitful collaboration with Leeds, including exchange programmes and visits. Nearly 100 SBC students go to Leeds for further study every year. He hoped that both parties will strive for a high-level development for SBC through further collaboration in talent development, educational resources, course development, faculty training, teaching and research.

Martin Maule expressed his gratitude for the warm reception by SBC and introduced the achievements of Leeds recently. He said that Leeds values the partnership with the USST and SBC and hoped to continue this partnership in teaching, enrolment, further studies and future planning and other aspects.

After the meeting, Martin Maule visited Fuxing Road Campus History Museum and the Library.
