Lu Shiwen, our Year 4 student in Business Management, was honoured to present her dissertation project at the SIBR (Society of Interdisciplinary Business Research) 2022 Seoul Conference, on June 3rd-4th, 2022. Recently she won SIBR Best Paper Award with her paper titled “An Investigation into the Relationship Between Experiential Marketing, Customer Engagement and Brand Loyalty in the Fashion Industry”.

“This achievement demonstrates that our education is on an internationally high level and equips us well for the future. SBC has been recognised for its global outlook and vibrancy in academia and higher education. Personally, it is a unique opportunity for me to showcase the research skills acquired at SBC. Also, it is a reward for my continuous hard work as well as support from my supervisor and the SBC community.” Lu Shiwen said.
As class leader and campus volunteer, it is a pressing everyday challenge to follow a busy schedule, but Lu Shiwen has managed it and taken responsibility for her course of studies during the temporary lockdowns.
Lu Shiwen is working as a volunteer.
“The SBC community gave me a lot of strength and I was happy to support it in return. I hope this experience will encourage other students to thrive and make the most out of their time at SBC.” Lu Shiwen said.
Juergen Seufert, Lu Shiwen’s supervisor, commented: “During our online meetings I shared my thoughts with Shiwen on how to improve her dissertation, on which methods to choose for her analysis and on how to interpret her findings to derive theoretical and practical conclusions. In general, I was approachable and motivated Shiwen emphasizing that she had done already an excellent job.”
