As part of Sheffield Hallam University’s Inspirational Teaching Awards, their Sheffield Business School, accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) recognized the high quality of teaching at the Sino-British College, USST (SBC). Multiple academic staff in the School of Business and Management received recognition as voted by the students for their passion, dedication, professionalism, and teaching ability to support their undergraduate education and application to postgraduate programs. Based on student votes, the following academic staff were shortlisted for the award: Dr. Annika Vatanen, Dr. Elaine Zhang, Dr. Fei Xu, Dr. Jane Zhang, Kenley Mew, Otto Condliffe, Shana Lewis and Wance Tacconelli.
Dr. Lionel Huntley Henderson and Dr. Ijeoma Okpanum received a commendation for their teaching as part of the Inspirational Teaching Awards 2021 by the university panel held last month.
A Year 3 Business Management student said, ‘Dr. Lee's classes are so interesting and often make it easier for us to understand. He has been greatly supporting us in and out of class. Many thanks to Dr. Lee for his help all the way!’
Another student said, ‘Dr. Ijeoma is such an earnest, professional and humorous lecturer. She often uses mind maps to clarify each key point and makes it more understandable. Most of us are able to follow her and positively participate in class. I think the relationship between us is kind of equal or respectful.’
SBC-USST is very proud of all voted staff for their contribution to developing SBC and its students through a high level of educational delivery and student experience.
