On the 27th May, the USST “High-quality Student Base” Signing Ceremony was held in the Affiliated High School of Shanxi University. Shan Yanguang, Vice Dean of SBC and ZhaoQihong, Vice President of the Affiliated High School of Shanxi University attended the ceremony. Song Wenxia, Director of the Academic Affairs Office of the Affiliated High School of Shanxi University and Directors of Domestic Student Recruitment and PR and Marketing of SBC also attended the ceremony.
ZhaoQihong warmly welcomed visitors from SBC, and briefly introduced the history, honors and student development of the Affiliated High School of Shanxi University. She mentioned thatthis school adheres to people-orientated and sustainable development as the core principles, science and arts, virtues and knowledge as the key educational philosophy andthe cultivationof “a reserve army of outstanding talents with international vision, profound virtue and vast erudition, science and liberal arts” as a goal. This school provides an excellent environment and a broad space for the comprehensive, harmonious and sustainable development of teachers and students, and has trained a batch of national and provincial top students. Through the cooperation with USST, general high schooleducation and higher education will be effectively connected, and the bridge of practical exchange and cooperative learning will be built for the teachers and students in middle schools.
Shan Yanguang fully expressed his gratitude and introduced in detail the school history, programme advantages, course characteristics and talent education of USST as well as the history, school-running scale, course establishment, recruitment and employment, student development of SBC. He mentioned thatthe Affiliated High School of Shanxi University,one of the student bases of USST, has a long-term cooperation with USST and has offeredmany students of high quality to USST. He hoped that both schools will take this opportunity to further future mutual cooperation in talent education, discipline teaching and research, academic exchanges, enrollment in examinations and other aspects. He also hoped more outstanding students will be attracted to join USST.
After the ceremony, Shan Yanguang had a campus tour with staff from the Affiliated High School of Shanxi University.

Both schools will further mutual communication and cooperationby organizing popular science lectures, career planning lectures, scientific and technological achievements display in middle schools, campus Open Day and other activitiesto build a better platform for student recruitment and talent education.
