Reasons for Recommendation:

“This book is written by Peter J. Buckley, a famous Professor at the University of Leeds and the founder of new international business theory. It tells us about the new opportunities and challenges faced by transnational enterprises under the background of contemporary economic globalization and the strategies they should take.

The reason for recommending this book is that it covers a number of new cases in recent years, which can be referred to in business papers or examinations.

Secondly, starting from the new concept of "Global factory", this book interprets the new mode of strategic decision making of multinational enterprises in recent years under the change of international economic environment from a new perspective.

Finally, wish SBC Students effort to achieve the goal!”

Reasons for Recommendation:

The deepest impression of university life is presentation. I recalled that I probably spent most of my time on reciting the draft. I was graduated when I first saw this book, but I saw light suddenly. A speech is a skill that can be improved through practice, as described in The King's Speech. The author treated the speech as a show, separating into several parts and analyzing the essentials step by step. What’s more, he didn't teach us the skills of public speech directly, but let you learn how to express yourself truly from the inside. You’ll learn the secret of being more confident and creative from all the aspects and on any occasions in life.

MSc student at the University College London

Reasons for Recommendation:

As a mechanical engineering student, you must learn about the Finite Element Analysis (FEA). It is a general tool to find approximate solutions to the differential equation. This textbook has included the base equation and the normalise elements types. Such as the Shell 181 and shell 281. It also showed the characteristic matrices for several types of elements. It really helps you to understand how the FEA works in the simulation software, for example, ANSYS. Base on this textbook you can programme your own codes in MATLAB to simulate a simple structure stress and displacement.
