For SBC students, the annual Live Event Festival is no doubt the best time of the year: a time when Year 3 Events Management students run a range of exciting events on campus. We are very pleased to announce that the Live Event Festival 2017 will run from 5th April to 14th April. For these two weeks, Year 3 Events Management students will host 12 different campus activities ranging from themed events to immersive theatre.
In April, the spring air and sunshine allow for many outdoor activities increasing the diversity of the live events. This year’s festival will bring with it more creative concepts such as Me in Mirror, 4.5 Million, Shoot Me and the Relax Club.
The Events Management degree is designed to prepare students for managerial careers in the events industry or for further study at graduate level. Shanghai, with its thriving events industry, provides the context within which students learn highly valued project management skills, strategic planning and operations, negotiating, working in teams, organisational skills, and effective presentation skills. All students in Years 3 and 4 engage in planning and managing events on and off campus with a range of clients and stakeholders as the practical aspect of this programme is one key to its success.
