The SBC 2016-17 T-Week Programme is designed to help participants, who are eligible applicants for SBC T1 Scholarships, to learn knowledge and skills which will be of value to their future studies and careers. During the one-week course from the 15th to the 19th August 2016, students are expected to create and deliver an academic, research-based presentation while developing their academic skills in areas such as research, referencing and expressing and supporting points in English. By improving their speaking skills in a collaborative learner-centered learning environment, students will also become more confident and engaging speakers with skills for independent learning and critical thinking.
All participants on the programme (45 in total) have taken the SBC 2016-17 Direct Entry tests and met the following criteria:
- Tier 1 Gaokao score (Arts or Science) according to the standards released by the local educational authorities;
- Score of the SBC Direct Entry Test of 60 or above (or IELTS 5.5/TOEFL 72 or above)
