During the period of time from 15th May to 20th May, RoboMaster, the 17th university student robot competition in China, witnessed a fierce competition in Nanjing University of Science and Technology. With the lead of Miss Gao Jiaqi, the counselor of Student Management Department, and the direction of Adrian Chong and Ping Liu of Engineering and Computing School, SBC RoboVigor Team including over 20 students was awarded with Middle China Division First Prize of RoboMaster, cruising into finals, which made a breakthrough in history.
RoboVigor Team of SBC experienced one-year stressful preparation, and finally brought D-tractor of an equipment vehicle to reality by advanced engineering techniques, outstanding innovation abilities, and good communication skills, beating other teams. RoboVigor Team stood out from 46 domestic teams, successfully becoming the only Shanghai team to reach the next stage.
The competition as a platform shows qualified technological innovation abilities, firm professional knowledge base, good mentality and broad horizons, as well as fruitful educational results of USST and SBC with 3 core aims of education that are Responsible Leadership, Enterprise and Innovation, and Culture Empathy.
RoboMaster is an international robot competition, jointly held by the Central Committee of the Communist Young League, Chinese Student Union and the Shenzhen government. It is one of the most influential robot projects at present in China, attracting nearly 10,000 competitors from various prestigious universities and colleges.
