On 1st June, 2018 SBC Farewell Party was held in the sports field of Fuxing Campus in the evening. Li Yan, Secretary of the Joint General Party Branch, Deputy Director of Campus Management Committee, Fuxing Campus, Professor Liu Qin, Vice-Dean and Interim Principal of SBC, Xu Lin, Associate Dean of Administration of SBC, academic and administrative staff, and students leaving the campus attended the party.
When the party began, the electronic album of graduates rolled on the screens beside the stage. Senior students’ photos brought back memories at SBC, whose smiles lit up the evening sky. The theme of the party was Story of Youth to Be Told, which consisted of 5 parts that were the Very Beginning of You and Me, Meeting Each Other, One Hard Road, Passionate Future and We Afterwards.
Professor Liu Qin gave a speech to the students leaving the college, where she expressed her unwillingness to say good-bye and gave advice to them. Afterwards, Hu Yuqi, representative of graduates, took the gift from graduates onto the stage, which was received by Li Yan as the representative of SBC. The gift is a beautiful cherry-blossom tree, standing for SBCers’ sincere wish for the college, which is “May SBCers be all over the world”.
At this memorable moment, leaders and graduate representatives together took glasses from the champagne tower and made a toast, where the atmosphere was warmed up. After that, fabulous performances started.
In the party, the audience could take an active role in the party by participating in the lottery. The wonderful art troupe performance, the energetic dancing performance, and the enjoyable singing performance, lit up the atmosphere. At last, the song, I’ve Got You For My Life, sang by Li Yan, Xu Lin, and counselors, taking the party to a perfect end.
Look back to regretless moments and imagine the melody of the youth. Set out the boat of dreams and seize the tomorrow filled with challenges. It’s hard to forget teachers’ kindness and to say good-bye to each other. We hope that 2018 graduates will achieve great success.
