On 16th May, According to the further understand student management in the Sino-British joint education environment and develop the high-level university construction, Student Management Department organized a seminar “Student Learning Management in the Background of Sino-British Cooperative Education”. Chun Sheng, Deputy Party Secretary, Vice-President of USST, was accompanied by the Student Management Department leaders from each school of USST. Yan Li, Secretary of the Joint General Party Branch, Fuxing Campus and Deputy Director of Campus Management Committee, Fuxing Campus with members of SBC executive team attended this seminar. Xiangyu Niu, Head of Student Management Department of USST, hosted the seminar.
At the meeting, Yan Li gave a brief introduction of SBC from the following aspects: development of SBC, education orientation, management structure, student scale, academic and administrative team. She also put forward new thinking on the issue of how to guarantee the quality of personnel training under the Sino-British cooperative education model.
The Deputy Director of the Student Management Department of SBC introduced the management model of the college students from the construction and management of academic atmosphere.
Further discussions on how to better advance the attendance management system, how to conduct academic atmosphere construction and how to guide students' enthusiasm for learning.
Chun Sheng, Deputy Party Secretary, Vice-President of USST, said “The student learning management mode of international cooperation in SBC has great reference for the reform and development of the college student management model. We hope that all staffs can learn from the "student-centered" philosophy of SBC, absorb the management experience and create topics with student management and academic atmosphere construction, to build a solid foundation for high-level university construction.
