As one of the most well-established university college delivering international higher education in Shanghai, the Sino-British College was invited to participate in the 23rd China International Education Exhibition Tour — Shanghai on 31st March. During the one day exhibition, over 300 people visited our SBC booth, including many prospective students and parents, who made special arrangements to meet with our staff and students at the event.
At this year’s event, to showcase the unique “1 to N” consortium model and our Pre-Masters Programme in the running of SBC, for the audience to have a deep understanding about the British way of teaching and learning, SBC offered more opportunities for interaction with visitors, such as promotional videos in SBC introduction, our partner universities, academic programs and campus life.
Some of the administrative staff from domestic student recruitment and international affairs department also attended the event, meeting potential students and parents and answering queries with regards to the delivery of British degrees at SBC. In addition, our student helpers also shared with the audience their own experience of studying for a UK degree in Shanghai.
Che Weimin, Deputy Director of the Chinese Service Centre for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) from the Shanghai Education Commission visited the SBC stand. They were very impressed at the high quality of international degree education offered at the SBC in such a culturally diverse campus.
Professor Tian Weifeng, Vice-President of USST and Dean of SBC, together with Professor Linda Liu, Vice-Dean of SBC also met with staff and student helpers and thanked them for the efforts that they made in successfully running the exhibition.
