SBC Teaching and Learning Forum for the Class of 2018 Held Successfully

On 2nd March 2018, the 2018 SBC Teaching and Learning Forum was held in the conference room of the SBC Teaching Building.

The meeting was attended by members of the senior academic team at USST, including Professor Tian Weifeng, Vice-President of USST and Dean of SBC, Liqin, Deputy-Director of USST Registry and representatives from USST academic team. Chaired by Professor Liu Qin, Vice-Dean of SBC, the meeting was also attended by Professor John Wilson, Principal of SBC and Xulin, Associate Dean of Administration, and representatives from SBC academic team.

Based on the Education Schemes making for 2018/2019 students, the meeting was organised for drawing experiences of past years and exchanging ideas about the initiatives of offering dual degree programmes at SBC. The plan for students’ personal development portfolios were also discussed for the purpose of improving the teaching quality, the self-management and the comprehensive competences at SBC. 

At the meeting, Professor John Wilson thanked to all SBC staffs for their support and cooperation in the past year. Professor Linda Liu, gave an introduction with the achievements of SBC over the past year and its teaching plans for the future

Then, colleagues attending the meeting had an open and in-depth discussion on the further development of the 2018 education schemes making, covering the academic syllabus, quality assurance, teaching methods, resource allocation and also the plan for students’ personal development portfolio etc.

In the concluding remarks, Associate Dean of Administration Xu Lin said “we should make innovations to fully demonstrate the characteristics of SBC with the Education Scheme for 2018/2019 students.We also believe that with the strong support from USST, SBC will achieve greater success in the future.”
