The 2017 High Arts into Campus: SSO Shang String Quartet Concert, hosted by Shanghai Symphony Orchestra with the Communist Youth League Committee of USST and co-organized by SBC, was successfully held on 20th December 2017 at SBC. It was joined by over 300 staff and students in SBC auditorium.
The concert has extended invitations to four professionals, Huang Na, Shi Zhenyu, Ba Tong and Chen Shaojun from Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, to give wonderful string quartet performance. The programme includes eight piece of music from different types and countries like the Carlos Gardel: Por una Cabeza from “Scent of a Woman”, He Zhanhao, Chen Gang:String Quartet from “The Butterfly Lovers”, Mozart, Alla Turca, etc. During the concert, the viola artist Ba Tong also shared some musical instrument knowledge and its cultural backgrounds to the audience. The concert was very well received by SBC staff and students.
High Art into Campus provides an effective platform for college students to accept world classical culture and outstanding traditional culture, increases opportunities of theatre practice for students, and builds a bridge of friendship for international communication.
