SBC welcomes representatives from the audit commitee

On 23th October, Ye Quyuan, Former Pro Vice Chancellor of Shanghai Jiaotong  University, and Ke Qinfei, Pro Vice Chancellor of Shanghai Normal  University,  visited The Sino-British College (SBC) on behalf of an audit committee that is currently  undertaking a routine audit of all colleges of USST.

Professor Tian Weifeng, Vice-President of USST and Dean of SBC, and Professor John Wilson, Principal and CEO of SBC, welcomed the visitors on behalf of the College. A meeting was held by the representatives with senior colleagues from SBC, including  Professor Linda Liu, Vice-Dean,  Dr Liu Bin, Secretary of the Joint General Party Branch and Deputy Director of Campus Management Committee, USST, Dr Christine Mortime, Director of Academic Quality and Business Development, and the academic and administrative team of SBC.

Following the welcome speech given by Professor Tian Weifeng, Professor Linda Liu, gave a introduction of SBC, including the establishment, international model of teachingand its plan of activities for the future.  This was followed by an in-depth discussions on  collaboration with partner universities, including consideration of resourcing, quality assurance, visiting faculty etc.

Following the meeting, Professor Linda Liu invited the senior representatives to tour the SBC campus and view the facilities. Student entrepreneurial team “XINGMO” (A High quality stationery brand which was created by SBC year2 student Yu Haoyuan) and Robots Society presented some of their latest creative works in SBC Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre. The senior representatives highly recognized the efforts made by SBC in developing socially responsible and innovative leaders and offering a truly international learning environment to students.
