2017-09-2635

On the evening of 25th September, the 2017 Welcome Party for all new international students was hosted at the SBC English Tearoom. International students from different countries and regions attended the party, together with members of the SBC academic and administrative team.

As part of the evening’s entertainment, students enjoyed moon cakes and local Shanghai snacks. They also learnt how to make Chinese lanterns to celebrate the coming Mid-autumn Festival. It was all in all a great opportunity for new international students to mingle and make friends with existing Chinese and international students at SBC.

Clara Gal
lardi and Natalie Raying Bunbury from ISA (International Student Association) hosted the welcome party. In the welcome speech, Professor John Wilson, Principal and CEO of SBC, expressed the wish that international students take SBC as a good choice to study in China and keep in touch after graduation.

Professor John Wilson honored Wilbert Tandanu from Indonesia and Audrey Emory Tuech from Paris with the Principal's Scholarship for 2017 International Students. Clara Gallardi and Natalie Raying Bunbury shared their lives at SBC. Hou Xingjian, representative of ISA, gave his recruitment talk to all new international students.

This year over 50 international students were accepted by SBC. This takes the total number of enrolled students from abroad to nearly 100, representing 30 countries and regions. SBC offers a great opportunity to study for a UK-accredited degree for international students, while learning Mandarin and experiencing Chinese culture in Shanghai.
