On the afternoon of 4 November, Dr Sheng Chun, Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of Disciplinary Committee, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) visited The Sino-British College. Dr Sheng was accompanied by Shi Xiaoming, Deputy Secretary of Disciplinary Committee and Director of Supervision Department and Meng Baoquan, Deputy Director of Party Committee and President’s Office, USST. The meeting was attended by Professor Tian Weifeng, Vice-President of USST and Dean of SBC, Liu Bin, Secretary of Joint General Party Branch and Deputy Director of Campus Management Committee, Fuxing Campus, USST and Professor Liu Qin, Vice-Dean of SBC.
On behalf of SBC, Professor Tian extended a warm welcome to Dr Sheng on his visit. Brief reports on the development of SBC and the Fuxing Road Campus and Joint General Party Branch were given by Professor Liu Qin and Liu Bin. Dr Sheng highly recognised the achievement made by team. It is hoped that the successful experience of SBC in international education can be transferred to other colleges of USST to contribute to the development of first-class subjects and universities while enhancing the level of internationalisation of USST as a whole.
Following the meeting, Dr Sheng was shown around the SBC campus by the SBC management team. In the teaching building, Dr Sheng met with student tutors in their office and joined the student societies for a discussion on students’ campus life at SBC.
