On 3 November, a delegation headed by Professor Wu Jian, Dean of Zhejiang University City College (ZUCC) visited The Sino-British College (SBC), University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST). Members of the delegation included Professor Zhu Yongping, Vice-Dean of ZUCC and Dean of The University of Waikato Joint Institute at ZUCC, Professor He Min, Vice-Dean of The University of Waikato Joint Institute at ZUCC, and senior colleagues responsible for student management, logistics and infrastructure, registry and information technology at ZUCC.
The delegation was met by Liu Bin, Secretary of Joint General Party Branch and Deputy Director of Campus Management Committee, Fuxing Campus, USST and Professor Liu Qin, Vice-Dean of SBC.
The establishment of The University of Waikato Joint Institute at ZUCC was officially approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education in September this year. Therefore, the visit was aimed for colleagues from ZUCC to learn the successful practice of SBC in terms of institutional structure, registry, staffing, student management and campus development while enhancing the communication between the two institutions.
