The Sino-British College welcomed 129 Gaokao students of Class of 2016 on the registry day on 29 August, 2016. As the College is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2016, welcome presents were given to all new students for sharing the special occasion.
To make sure the registration process goes smoothly, members of the SBC and USST management team, student tutors, as well as 22 student volunteers joined the day to assist students with the registration and move-in.
Professor Wu Song, Party Secretary of USST, Professor Tian Weifeng, Vice-President of USST, Liu Bin, Secretary of Joint General Party Branch, Fuxing Campus of USST and Professor Liu Qin, Vice-Dean of SBC, also joined this event, and warmly welcomed all new Gaokao students and their families. Professor Tian visited the student dormitory and talked to students, providing details of support available to new SBC students for adapting to this special international university life and living in Shanghai.
The parents’ meeting was held in the Tearoom in the afternoon. Party Secretary Liu Bin hosted the meeting, and extended a warm welcome to all the parents. Professor Liu Qin and Professor Tian Weifeng spoke in the meeting, and introduced the Sino-British College to everyone. At the end, student tutors met with student parents as well, answering their questions re future study at SBC.
